Dr.Pyae was graduated from University of Medicine (1), Yangon with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery since 2006 and obtained Master Degree in Ophthalmology from University of Medicine (1), Yangon in 2014. She passed MRCS in Ophthalmology and became a member in Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburg, Scotland, achievement with Muthusamy Gold Medal Award in 2016 as of her achievement of highest mark in the part A examination of FRCSed Ophthalmology examination with her first attempt and gone onto pass her part B examination again at her first attempt. She got FICO fellowship in International Council of Ophthalmology in 2016. Dr. Pyae was awarded scholarship from Hawaii Eye foundation for Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology sponsored by Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary, Boston, USA and have experienced observer ship in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery at CHU vision institute (Minnesota, USA) and pediatric ophthalmology in Illinois Eye and Ear infirmary, University of Illinois, Chicago, USA in 2017.

She completed International Clinical fellowship in Advanced Cataract in Singapore National Eye Centre under the supervision of Prof Soon-Phaik Chee in 2020-2021. Her Clinical interests include cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) with premium IOLs including toric and multifocal IOLs and complex surgeries for subluxated lens or IOLs including iris and scleral fixated IOLs, capsular tension rings and segments, pupilloplasty and iridodialysis repair. Dr. Pyae got the special training for Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery from Singapore National Eye
Centre.

Her working experience at Department of Microbiology, University of Medicine(1), Yangon after her graduation from Medical School from 2008. She continued her career as a lecturer at Department of Ophthalmology, University of Medicine (1), Yangon and involved in teaching and training nurses, undergraduate medical students and post graduate ophthalmology residents from 2014. She continued her practice as a Specialist Ophthalmologist at Yangon Eye Hospital since 2014 to present.
